You don't need to change ANY looms for the PAB, Series 1/2 both have provision for PAB just in different connector positions. ie: cable run. (S2 have it where its required, S1 have it on the drivers side)

yeah true, but i changed it cause i like to have a complete loom without joins and with GLi's u can add cruise at the same time.

anoher way to check S1 and SII is remove the top piece of the dash (the bit with the screen vents) and if the ground wires are in the middle its S1 and i it's on the drivers side its SII.

cheers for that magna, yes the ground is smack in the middle. like krytox said the option is always there to run the length of cable from one side of the dash to the other but id rather just put the correct loom

watch this space :)

thanks again boys and girls

You will need to retain your EF dash loom as the EL loom is different.

Just remember when you get the dash make sure you get the main support bar and the aircon piping from the back as both are different to allow for it.
the dash will be coming from a 9/96 el xr6.
Still, it's wise to check - the tray and bar are welded together, so will be there, but make sure that section of ducting that goes to the LH vent is there also - it's very important.
Having said that, you may still be able to mod a non PAB duct with a heatgun if you had to.

yeah rapatus modified his to work, as we weren't aware of the difference at the time, he also modify the support bar that holds it.

sorry to break balls on this one guys, im pretty sure ive got all that i need to do this.

the PAB wire and plug i just ratted from a fairmont - if i understand correctly, all i have to do is cut the PAB resistor off at the module and solder the two PAB wires in place

i have the l/h air duct to suit PAB

Now the biggy, the dash came from a 9/96 EL and it going into my 95 EF XR8. Does the wiring loom from the dash (not the one that runs along the firewall) need to be swapped over?

Many thanks in advance
