Hi all, I have an EL GHIA body loom and an EB XR6 car. Would the body loom plug into the car to replace the original one with out any issues?.... thinking of doing power window conversion....

Thanks guys.

I found it easier to just run the 2 wires to each door. Then you need the centre console control module(ie the switches), using the tech doco on here and wire it up. Took about 2 hours to do the wiring and about 40 mins per door for the mechanisms.

For the mechanism, i would suggest having a punch to knock the rivets out, and a selsection of the correct sized bolts and nuts to install the mechanism.

Good luck
Brett

Ive done the conversion before on an EF gli using an EF fairmont loom and it was straight forward got it all done in a days work.... i would like to use the loom instead of running my own wires... I have a full EL ghia loom which is why im asking the question...

im REALLY 50/50 about this conversion still... i dont drive the car all the time but i like the idea of having power windows... but like the idea of keeping the wind up windows too as i like the 'old school' feeling of winding them up!

lol so confused...

The plugs are different between the EB and the EL.

Cheers
