by simply soldering the ba plug on ?

I can't see why you couldn't? it would be a case of making sure you match the right wires. Fitting them might be a little bit of a feat?

Hmm, you wouldn't happen to be doing a BA interior conversion into an EL by any chance?

Hope so, otherwise, probably check Fourl6's thread, I gotta admit I like the center consoles switches, always get my self crossed up when I'm in my dads au, feels to close.

fouri6 thread is a good read .
but arent au and e series window setup different?
the el switches are an electrical hazard waiting to happen.

sorry imo full el ba interior conversions look wrong the front seats dont suit the b series let alone the e.
(gt nuedo leather is the exception. i wish lol)
imo au's suck so anything modified is an improvment on that front.
i used to sit dreaming of owning a t series au now that every au looks like a ts or te 50 i dont want one .
closest i got was an a optioned late au xr6 any how
ford should apoligise to all au owners and install a full ts50 body kit free of charge.

with a bit of stuffing around the top 2 3rds of b series front door trims including arm rest
could look hot on an el but use el chrome handles
a retrim or quality ghia seat looks way more tasteful than any replacment

I'll actually agree with that statement, mine caught fire the other week haha. I couldn't get the switches out of the console quick enough!

copied this from my interior conversion thread... just thought id fix up a few things...
Image
didn't get these all that right... note the 2 separate power inputs (1 front, 1 back)

Re BA 4 Way Switch

1 - Front Window? 1/2
2 - Front Window? 1/2
3 - Rear Window? 1/2
4 - Rear Window? 1/2
5 - 12 Volt Supply for Front Windows (Input)
6 - Ground
7 - Rear Right Down
8 - 12volt Supply for Rear Windows (Input)
9 - Right Rear Up
10 - Left Rear Down
11 - Rear Window Supply (Out)
12 - Left Rear Up

So it uses the rear window supply to supply window the rear window switch, the front switch doesnt use this, it uses the 2 wires and switch + and - between the two wires...
the rear switches ground through the 4 way switch

Hope this helps...
