Is there any complications that I should know about for me to fit a complete EL Ghia PAB dash, BEM, variable window wiper switch etc. into an EF GLi?

Unsure if the Body loom mates up with EL/EF.

There should be no complications with BEM/ECU.

Its easier if you have a Series 2 EF, cos the airbag wiring is already there. (airbag wiring isn't on dash loom) otherwise you need to remove the blanking resistor and solder up some fig.8 and extens it to the PAB.

Will be reading this post properly! I've been wanting to know for a while aswell...

The BEM is very different in an EF compared to an EL. The pinouts and plugs are different and I think you will find it will not plug directly into the EF Engine bay loom.

ECU will definitely have complications - there's a different number of pins on them, but I'm not looking to change ECU's.

The dash loom doesn't incorporate the engine/ECU loom.

You might need to also add battery 12v to the EL BEM battery saver line, which the EF BEM wiring doesn't have - you'll know if you have no interior lights when you plug it all in.
