I was getting them at $30 from Ford. I don't know if Ford still have them though.

30 hey.my local ford quoted me 50.
ill have it tommorow.
are they leather?
i got that and an ef gear knob as i didnt want to splash out and buy a momo and i hate aftermarkets.
the ef feels good but the bloody thing stripped when placed on my ea shaft,so after the boot is on im going to locktite the bugger on.

Yes and no. The one I bought was from Ford and I thought it was a legit EL GT gearstick boot but the one I got was pebbled leather. Now I've been in a GT they have smooth leather. So mine is not one that is in the GTs.

Actually I just found a thread with me in it. I got my EL GT shifter boot for $20 and the stock ones were $30. Part number is GTTVE-7277A for GT one.

Found the pic in another thread. This is mine.

Mmmm... I think that suit very my BA metal and leather knob very nicely....
Is it any smaller than the original? The short stick + BA knob means I only move like 2 inches between gears. I've got mine tucked under the plastic at the bottom by like 3 inches, plus its folded at the top.... Doesnt look overly great.

mmm does look good,im not a fan of round shifter knobs and after seeing that pic my ef stock knob should suit really well..
my conern is how to fit the boot in my ea as the base shape looks different.

The stock knob is rounder that the MOMO one.

im not sure the el base will stretch that far, a friend said to use a leather boot from an au but im thinking of getting appolsterer to do mine

Thats the proper leather gear stick boot. Mine is different style leather.
