the EL GT is the only ef/el to have driving lights!
does anyne know where the switch is to turn the lighs on/off
i thought there was a button in between the power antenna and the rear demister but it seems that this is not the case.

i wanna add a switch for my car and hook it up to the cluster for the driving/fog lams light. i was hoping o get a swich similar to the EL GT as i like things that look original in the car.

i asked ford this same question a few months back and got told that the EL GT doesnt have a seperate switch

best thing you can do is find a aerial/demist/etc panel with an extra button and use that.....

You'll want a Ghia wagon panel.

Rear Wiper, Antenna & Demist :)

hmm any fairmont one should do, i dont plan on having an electric antenna so i guess i can use the button for that, get a little driving lights logo transfer to put on it :P

i dont understand why the EL GT wouldnt have a driving lights switch on it, when aparently its illegal to drive with driving/fog lights on when the conditions are clear!?

In NSW driving lights are supposed to be treated the same as high beam.

In Victoria, you can actually have your front driving/fog lights on at all times. However the rear fog lights can only be on when it's suitable conditions (i.e. foggy) - I'm pretty sure, I'll check up on it again

Speak to MrGT on ff.com.au. He has an EL GT.

Just for clarrification for VIC:

Quote:
Q: When can I use the fog lamps on my car?

A: There is no restriction on the use of front fog lamps. However, the lamps must be correctly aimed as fog lamps so as not to dazzle other road users. Rear fog lamps may only be lit in abnormal weather conditions.

Q: Driving Lights - How many headlamps can I have?

A: A maximum of six main-beam headlamps are allowed. The lamps must be wired so when the dip switch is operated no more than two lamps, showing dipped beams, can be left alight.

They didn't bring them out in Ghia spec from the factory Greg - the only ones you would have seen would have been mocked up ones. I should know, mine was a mocked up one ya goose

Zactly, ive seen many around, all been mocked up n had ghia bits added on - most will not boast premo sound tho as there isnt any place for the sub; ford will tell you there were NO ef/el wagon ghias produced (bugger)!

The panel from a column shift wagon will also work (Demister, rear wiper, power/econ).
