After sourcing the right hex bit to fit the steering wheel (which required a trip to the local Auto shop) i fitted my EL GT Steering wheel on the weekend.

Let me know what you think!

I have attached a before and after pic for you.

Also was wondering what these wheels go for, i picked it up through a mate for $300. I'd heard they are $1000+ from Fraud.

Now that i have done the Steering wheel change, the rest of the interior looks very standard and suggestions for mods?

Was really quite simple just searched the forum, found the directions and carried it out, was just the hex bit i didnt have.

two bolts in behind the steering wheel, remove the airbag and its connector then undo the hex bolt. hardest part was actually getting the steering wheel off itself, had to yank bloody hard to get it off.

reversed the order to install, took all of an hour including the trip to the auto shop.

i've attached another pic of it with the airbag cover off.

Yeah I thought that price was fairly resonable. I've done a bit of searching through the forums and anywhere upwards of $550 can be payed. they are fairly rare also from what i've heard but someone may be able to clarify that for me. It is sooo nice to drive with, is so much better than the old steering wheel!

And yes the force used to remove the steering wheel from the coloumn was extreme, i did nearly give up but persistance did win in the end.

Gezza200, I'm a fan of the red where the hands should go, adds a bit of flair to the Wheel+interior, i was going to get something simliar but when the EL GT wheel came along i jumped at the chance.
