ive got em.... and i dont really like them much. they get stains easily, they are easy to break (a pair of pants i own has a nasty button on the back and its scratched parts of the leather beyond repair), and im guessing they are really costly to replace.

i want some NL Fairlane Velour ones :(

yeh the staining part would be bad, i got the mocha interior in mine..the colour itself isnt that overly great, the carpet is s**t house, gets dirty and crappy so easy.
whats it like driving with leather seats? it seems like it would be slippery, i sit in the driver seat and it feels like ill slip right out

mm there not really slippery, my drivers seat right base bolster is really flat from my driving position, but i dont slide round much. the backseat however is brilliant for comfort in my opinion, cos of the angle of the base.

I think those leather are of cheap quality on those Fords. If you really must keep them you gotta take care of them pretty regularly and watch out what you're wearing as mentioned. I think you can also buy this spray for leather materials, i dont know what its called. I have seen some the leather seats on other cars i don't really like leather seats as they are cold in winter and hot in summer and ontop it gets sticky too. I prefer the velor ones, when modding my car i thought of putting leather ones but the problems as mentioned made my mind up into getting Velor seats.

yeah the ford leather isnt the best quality, my parents had a Lexus LS400 up until last year, and oh my god, the leather seats in that were like a gentlemans club lounge. so F**k comfortable, and the quality was outstanding.

the problem with EL seats is they have probably dried out by now and that makes them hard and shiny. leather is a natural material and unlike vinyl doesn't burn it breathes and doesn't get sticky. the repco leather spray is good cause it really soaks in and can bring back the matt finish but it has to be used regularly.

As said, just keep it clean and condition it regularly. I use some saddle stuff on mine given to me by a trimmer.

They are pretty average quality though, and only the actual seat faces are leather, the backs and sides are vinyl.

I have it and I'd prefer velour, just because I can't stand the leather on cold mornings.

yeah I must admit I suspect alfy's got something, as my interiors, a custom leather retrim as it' came out of a stretch, and f**k is it nice compared to my mums au ghia factory, black leather interior.
Like mine a bit messed up compared, my mums is immaculate. hell mine actually shrunk a bit as the car ended up at the wreckers after it took a dive in a salty drink.

admittedly prior to that i had the ef ghia, 50/50 leather velour, and that was pretty nice, nice compromise.

Hey don't forgot, fords, are built to be driven, what I love about them, there built solid enough to be driven into the ground time and time again, and I'm sure many taxi drivers would agree, so personally, if your gonna enjoy them, better you get full enjoyment out of them, than somebody who'll enjoy it once a month.

Seriously it's like people running seat covers over there flash interior, why bother having the flash interior in the first place, so you can tell people you have a nice interior.

yeh spose ay, thats an excellent point there
ill agree with that, mose well show off the leather interior than hide it away
i use to be like that, then i got bit tight...
anyways i could always jus get the seats re-trimmed when they wear out
