Hi. I'm quite new to car modification, and have got into a real problem I need help with.
Yesterday I pulled off the dash face so I could change the trip computor (that worked fine) with one from eBay that a guy has put blue lights in. I replaced the little plugs exactly as I found them, pretty sure I diddnt hook anything up wrong, put it all back together, then went to drive to work and couldn't.
Everything works fine exept ignition.

Fobs still open close doors, key still turns all accessory lights on (including new trip which seems to be working fine ) but when I turn the key all the way to start, lights go off, there is 1 audible click, then nothing.

I have no idea what I've done wrong here. I'm thinking I must have accidentally disconnected some integral wire somewhere accidentally, or should have unplugged the battery first.

I've gotta get the car to Midas today for new exhaust, Ive gotta get this fixed fast, please help!

may be your bcm (above where your left leg sits when driving, left hand side of the steering rack) may have screwed that up, go down to your local pickapart (wreckers) and get yourself another one

When you're about to start the car, give the plastics around the area where your left knee sits when you drive a good bashing (as tony.martin11 said...to the left of the steering column). If it starts after a few hits, you might want to replace the BCM (Body Control Module).

Check your fuses and relays as well...may have blown a fuse or relay busted.

silly idea but you didn't leave your car door open during the trip computer change with your interior light on the whole time, how goods your battery?

I'd try jump starting your car before you go changing bem modules out.

did you put your shifter back into park, that ones got a few of us before.. myself included.

smartlock light flashing? interior lights working??
