Hi Gents,
Sorry! in my previous post regarding lamp replacement I didn't describe the location very well......well here goes again..lol.The dashboard instrument cluster in front of the driver containing Speedo, Tacho, O/P,Battery,etc must be lit with 2 lamps or more?the left side has blown as only half of the cluster is lit. Has anyone had to replace this lamp?Could you tell me how to remove the I/C without removing the dash.
REgards,
Gary. :D

its lit by 6 T5 lamps in holders.
you can remove the cluster by first taking off the dash facia..
remove ashtray, one screw behind it and then the radio surround comes out
2 more screws behind the radio surround, 3 above the cluster, one near the boot and fuel buttons and one near the lock button, take the facia out and remember to disconnect these buttons as u do so.

the cluster can be removed with the 4 screws around it that you will now see

good luck!

Hi,
Yep! managed all steps above and fitted one new holder plus lamp, unfortunately it looks like about 3 have blown together, bugga! got to go through it all again......lol. Did you manage to remove the cluster completely? I found that the steering wheel blocks it from complete removal and it was awkward to fit the new lamp and holder, not being able to see from behind the cluster, exactly what to do?
Regards,
Gary.

Do everything as before plus unplug the two wire harness clips on the left and right of the console (Push in the centre of the clips on the firewall side to unhook them) then slide it out the gap between steering wheel and dash towards the door. Hope that helps.
