This is the one that came out of the car attached to the power window winder. you can see that the track is arched, but about half way along it seems to flatten out.

It is best compared with the old manual winder track, which now has the power window winder on it.

And finally (again) a closer look at the warpping of the arch of the winder track.

So I can take my manual winder track out from the back and repalce it in the front where the power windows are? How do I do this and will it most likely fix it?

I doubt a rear window track would suit a front window

Ok lets break this down....

Do you see the warp in the track?
If you do read on....

I swapped the front drivers side power window track with a track off a front driver side manual winder. The only winder you can use as a replacement is for the front drivers side is the front drivers side as it is fitted to that door.

Get it?

Ahhh...so I can only replace my front passenger AUTO one with a any front passenger window track? That makes sense.

each window winder track IS fitted to each window. There is no way around it....

BUT

(now to confuse Dylan) :?

The winder plate IS interchangable, but only between fronts and backs (ie: The fronts can be swapped, and the backs can be swapped, but a front can not be swapped with a back and vice versa)

This is handy when that stupid plastic breaks. Instead of using the washer method as oulined in the mod docos, you can swap the entire plate over. And for those still sketical, I have done it to mine and it is working as it should.

They were desgined to be generic to a side (notable by the two holes on one side, but only one is used)

Confused yet? :D

So your saying that only fronts can be swapped wioth fronts and nacks with backs?

How do I do that? Take the door trims off and I should see it?

this is only for the winder plate. This is the peice at the bottom of the picture.

If you remove the door trim, and your window is up, you will see it through the holes where you remover the winder bolts. however to access it you need to remove the winder unit, and the remove the plate from the unit you need to dismantle the unit.
