Hey guys,
Has anyone ever altered the seat rails so the front seats can be adjusted further back than they normally do? Mine don't quite go back far enough for a completely comfortable long distance drive. I'm not overly tall, but I had more front leg room in my old Honda. :? Not to mention it's not like there's a lack of legroom in the rear of an NF Fairlane, so rear passengers won't be losing out. lol. :D
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan.

I've been in a few fairlanes and I've found the seats go back quite a bit
and I'm 6'3"

checked for coins in the rails?

Yeah, the rails are clean and that's as far back as tbey go(both drivers and passengers side). They might go back a fair way....but it's all about your own personal driving style and comfort. I tend to like my seat to go back further than alot of people I know. I also know some people who are very tall who sit right up close to the wheel. *shrugs* Each to their own I guess. Wouldn't ask on here if it was simply a matter of cleaning out the rails. lol. :D
I'm only looking to extend it back a couple more inches.
But thanks. :)

I'm with you mate. I'm 6ft 1 and I personally find my EF quite uncomfortable, nowhere near enough legroom for me! My old Corolla had more!

I'd be very interested if there is an easy way to change this!

Yeah, there has to be a way...havin' me leg bent and holding my foot up for a few hours(when the cruise control can't be utilised) hurts the old leg after a while. Just need to be able to stretch out a little more is all.
Might unbolt it all tomorrow and see if there's some way of extending the travel....hmmm. :?

Hmm, yeah...a longer wheelbased fairlane. Just insert an extra 2 feet in the middle and setup a bar inside. Schweeeet. :P
