hey all

just wondering where & how you guys have mounted gauges in your cabins - i have a pair which will be going in, and want them clean & neatly tucked away, not sticking out all over the dash. might have to look into a fibreglass mould for the a-pillar?

cheers!

As you may recall (pics prob still in my gallery) i went for the tacky option of fitting them into gauge cup holders.

Plenty of vacant land in an e-series dash tho. Maybe get a spare dash and work a way to mount them?

Most of the jap vehicels you can get a-pillar moulds off the shelf... dunno if this option is available for domestics??

yeah i had one, and would have gone the cup near the drivers a-pillar, but with 2 i'd rather have them in a clean holder, without sticking out like dogs balls :?

shall have a look-see on the web!

I used that space for a while... it's ok for stuff like oil pressure, where you only need to 'check' it like a mirror... but for something like boost... well, let's just say i dont recommend to anyone that you take your eyes away from the road to watch the boost gauge sail up to 7psi lol.

Definately recommend having boost near the general obstacle viewing area lol.

I am getting a twin gauge pod for the centre console (in front of the auto shifter) ... to suit 52mm gauges.

This is to suit AU though ... I am pretty certain there will be EF/EL pods being made up soon as well.

Also saw a thread on AFF for tripple gauges pods for B-series vehicles as well ... looks much better than the FPV items.

The a pillar mount pod that i have is made for an EF/EL.
I may be looking to sell it uglybob.
Thinking of going the couple of chrome black cups on the bonnet perhaps.
