howdy ive got some ED ghia door trims and i wanna cut holes in them for the wind up windows :)

i cant be bothered to put electric on the car at the moment.

just a question: with the rear trims will the window winder clear the ashtray and the window switch on the trims?

The ashtray button assembly will foul it I think.
From memory when I was f**k around with mine.
The hole will be where the window switch is.
Just cut a hole in that plastic... mebbe :P

It's funny but.
I've got XR trims with holes that I don't want, and you've got Ghia trims without holes that you need :D

try to wait until you have all the elects to put in - otherwise you'll have ghia trims with holes in them when the time comes... that will look s**t!

i'm with happy here, unless don't plan on keeping the ED ghia door trims which are quite nice, i wouldn't bother until you have electric windows. OR just keep using your original door trims until you do the conversion!!

yep winders will definetly foul on rear doors. saw a 1990 fairlane at a wrecker the other day that had holes cut in the trims to put manual winders (they just had a hole where the the cigarette lighter had been.) If i were you i would just get the electric windows. I picked the rear drivers electric winder from the wrecker for only $35. works even better than the other ones in my car!
