Yes, you need a boss kit with the square shaft for EL, but remember, removing the airbag is not legal.
You can also pull the steering shaft apart, and fit ED upper to EL lower for splined shaft.

Does that go the other way too? I'd like to be able to run a later model wheel in my eb....

Leave the bolt in a few turns, then wiggle the wheel. It'll come off quickly and easily.

(don't leave the bolt in, and you'll need dental or rhinoplasty work)

I'm actually just changing my wheel, and I've goot the torx bit, loosened off half way, and I've been yank'n and yank'n and it hasnt budged.

What kinda muscles have you dudes got ?!?!

Any other suggestions ? I've got a hammer and other primative tools, I tried building a big leaver, but there aint much to leaver off.

I was thinking about sitting some ice blocks on the center, but that just sounded silly.
