Hey all, Im curently rebuilding the old girls EF XR6 at the moment.
It has been repainted jet black (hope to post pics up soon!)
But anyways, the heater / air con fan has stoped working. All seems well with the switch so i may have to look at the fan it self maybe...
Where exactly is the fan?
I guess its right behind the glove box?
At worst il probly just need to bypass and re wire it somehow if the fan itself is ok...
Any help on the matter would be appriciated...
:D

have a look at the climate control doco - this should help you out!

Ususally its the heater resistor that fails. In this case the fan will run on top speed, but not any others.

And the fan is located behind the recirc vent against the passenger A pillar. If it is faulty, its a dash out job. :?

I'd check the 12v supply to the switch first. Make sure its not something simple like a fuse, relay, etc.

Cool thanks guys.
Yea i did have a look at the wires to the switch (half the dash is out anyways) and all looks well.
Ill have a look at the fan itself, and the climate control doco then.
IF I CAN FIND THE DOCO!
The thing is the thing was in a stack and the front left (passenger) side was hit. Seeing as though the fan is right against the A pillar, its probably damaged the fan.
Ill take a look, once again thanks!
