Well last night i removed my cluster on my ED to replace the little gear that breaks and stops the odometer. When i replaced it all the odometer works fine as with everything else, except my speedo.

Anyone got any ideas?

Yeah checked all plugs and wires, twice. Is it possible that maybe i dislodged something on the inside that i didnt notice? Im going to pull it out agtain tonight and have a look to see if i can notice anything.

Its that or you could have short circuited a bridge inside the circuit board and slown a bridge.

I did that in my old cluster and fixed it by re-soldering the connection. Dodgy, but it works.

hmm sounds interesting. I should be able to see the blown bridge you think? Like burn marks sort of thing on the circuit board?

yeah...normally the greenish fibreglass circuit board will go black around the suspect area. It'll stink really bad too. and you'll see the copper bridges are burnt too and they would have cracked or even come off like mine did.

You have to open up your cluster beforehand.

Just pulled it all apart again. Doesn't smell or look burnt. Put it all back in and tried it out and still nothing. Im hoping its something real simple, but somehow i dont think so. Might have to bight the bullet and involve an "expert"
