lets see..... the pointy end goes in the.... HEY! WATCH IT!

i had the, geuss you can call it the washer end down and the strait end up, tested b4 putting together, wont move the button wrong way round, might try a thicker rod....

nah, your push rod isn't going to wear out - go and get another shifter - it would seem the insides of your current one are broken.

dunno how different the EF ones are, but my previous EL one has a little 'plug' covering a screw, undo the screw and the button slides out. Even on my new leather wrapped one, theres a little hole in the lether to get a driver in to undo the screw.

sorry - yes you can pull the stuff out like that for sure - bu if you wanted to get into the actual handle itself (not that they'res much in there to look at!) then you have to pull the surroundings off :?

i seems when i took the rod out not long ago i thought... that looks bent... now i have put the bend back in it.... all works well!
