Look on the bright side - at least it wasn't a fairmont or XR cluster you fried. Looks like the odo light tracks are frazzled, so they can be jumpered pretty easily - two lines to the plug.
On the downside, you may have fried something in the BEM as well - fix the cluster first. Plenty of std clusters on Ebay all the time, or someone may have a spare. Only pain is you have to transfer the odo Eprom across.

Same happened to me. one of the lights had a earth back aka a short.
just find the two ends and either solder the thing back or cut a lenght of wire and do it that way. and check your resistance on the leds. maybe drawing too much current and that

Next time ill think b4 i post ne thing.... is that ok with u? thats cool thats cool.... anyways back on topic. u did a conversion on my Trip computer and i fried a whole line on the back of it...one of the LEDs short circuited and basically ruined the whole thing....so i just got some wiring i had lying around and just soldered it from one point to the other...had no problems since *touch wood* phong =P~
