EDIT: How do I remove the cable?
After 640,000km's my accelerator pedals looking a bit worse for wear - suprise suprise! 
So how to I replace it? Looks like some sort of pin holding it onot the arm. Does that need to be knocked out with like a hammer and pin punch or something

Behind the carpet are 2 x 13mm bolts.
Undo them, then unclip accelerator cable, and the whole pedal and bracket assembly comes out. Upto you if you just want to try and replace the pedal itself, or get hold of a good condition second hand assembly to swap in. |

How does the accelerator cable disconnect off it?

Its just clipped on... On the foot side of the pedal and assembly there is a clip either side holding it in. It looks like a small back box. About 1cm square.
Push the clips in, and the cable slides out the back of the bracket. |

yep, i see how that black box works, but what about the white peice on the arm? hows that come out/off?

From memory, the cable is pushed forward from the back, the white bit is pushed through the hole from back to front, and the now bare cable slips through the slit?

The white ones off but the black ones being a bastard. I can see how it comes out, it's just not working, not too keen to put a pair of pliars or anything on it either as I don't want to end up breaking it and replacing the entire cable.
