Is there anyway that I can obtain my security code for my head unit OTHER than going to ford? It's an EB11 and I don't want to change it for those who will make that suggestion

if its the original unit for the car? ford will supply the code free all you need is the cars vin number..
why not just go to ford?? otherwise no way it can be done.. unless you do a trial and error start from 0000 and go through all the combinations.. you will get it sooner or later..

also try having a look in your glovebox manual, sometimes people will write it down there if they've needed it before

Don't they lock up after so many wrong tries (EF/L ones do). yes but if you stop after 3 goes and disconnect power re connect power you have another 3 turns.. imo its a lot of trouble to go to to unlock a factory head unit.. ford will have the code.. thats the easiest way!!!! |

Thanks for the replies. I didnt want to do it through ford because they said it will cost $56.50. I called again and was told it's only $16.50. Apparentley first douche bag got it wrong. Will go tomorrow. Thanks guys!

just depends on which dealer u go thru.
a couple in adelaide charge , if u ring around theres a couple who dont too. |

if its those AWA security coded ones with the joystick the security codes are set by a number of solder points on the board. unsoldering them bypasses the security coding.
