I was looking at changing the colour of my dash, (do you paint it with that spray stuff or reupholster it....) was just wondering whats the best way and i also dont want to be redoing it in 6 months time cause its faded.

Hey, you can paint it, but you wont get the same qualioty of finish as if you reupholster it. For the money it may cost you for some vinyl, it will pay for itself in terms of finish.

Paint will definately be cheaper and in many ways easier to do yourself.

yeah mate just get some vinyl paint for something then maybe clear coat it so it doesnt scratch off so easy cause thats the biggest problem with sprayed dashes. Scratches.

have people had them reapolstered before i was going to do center consol in suede so if it can be done ill get the dash done aswell?

estimate price figures would be great if anyone knows?

You can get away with painting it. That is what a lot of people (including myself) have done.

The issue that I had with painting was that you had to keep touching it up. Apart from that it looked good. I used the VHT 'penetrating' colour dye. Contrary to what the label says, this did not penetrate the dash on my EF. I can still peel it away, almost 2 years after it was sprayed (and before anyone comments, I did do it properly).

I would suggest getting a proper colour dye, if you choose to go down this path. Speak to an upholsterer and see what product they suggest

yea righto ill go and the the local upholsterers and see what they have to say.
i just thought of reupholstering cause i like the look of the suede
