Can anyone give me the full story regarding the ford momo steering wheel? i have a 94 ED XR6 with the stock ford banger steer with the cruise buttons.. theres some myth that every xr came out with momos but mine doesent have this and ive seen many without one too, why is this?
How many steering wheels did the ED model have? Where do you control the cruise from if u have a momo (cos they dont have cruise buttons right?) Is the momo wheel the refined looking wheel with the blue centre cap? Cos i seen one of these in an ED FUTURA, why?
AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if anybody could add pics that'd be great so i could actually see what im actually talking about.

Thanks in advance for any info, this has been bothering me for a long time!!LOL...ta[/b]

The momo wheel was a option on the ED's so AFAIK any model could have one fitted..
the ED's had three types of wheels, a two spoke wheels that had the cruise buttons, a stock three spoke and the momo (non cruise and cruise).. my XR has the momo with the cruise buttons but i cant find a pic..

wrong...EDs had 4 types of wheel

std wheel like gli
fairmont wheel (has cruise)
optional momo wheel
optional momo w/ cruise wheel

EB XR had momo std
it became an option in ED for cost cutting reasons

the same MOMO without cruise buttons is worth 2 to 300 less then one with cruise buttons only diffrence is the horn pad. even with the stock horn pad i have seen people cut the holes for them, and done a neat job too you would not know the diffrance.

I bought the last one from Momo for xr6chicks XG XR as hers was sun burnt (small cracks at the top) it cost $400 about a year ago. The price on ebay for EF EL I think are quite expensive but if you go to Momo site you could be surprised that they might have some left.

Mine is a bit older than the ones that you were talking about so its a different shape to that other one. Its off my NA SVO. Mick Webb (the person who made SVO) is still selling the momo steering wheels for the EF/EL I think. His stuff is online just google search mick webb.
