Hi all just pulled up to work and went to open my drivers door and NOTHING! Had to wind the window down and open it from the outside. Will look at fixing it tomorrow. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to fix these and how to get the door trim off. I think its probably just a ?cable thats come out of the door thingy somewhere. Help please.
thanks

yer if u lift the plate off in the middle of the handle theres a screw, remove that and the handle will come out, there will be a cord on that, hopefully thats f**k up, if not u have to remove the trim, i think there is 11 screws all around and u need to remove the window winder and find out whats snapped, good luck

The interior door handle is connected to a steel rod that moves back and forth to unlatch the door lock and open the door.
What you may find is that there is a small white plastic attachment that connects the interior door handle to this steel rod. That can break and when you oull the handle it does not do anything.
This happened with mine, so i swapped the front and back interior door handles, easy fix. I think over time the white plastic bush gets a fair beating on the divers door.
hope this helps

The little plastic clip has four teeth that can snap off and cause the rod to slip out.

You can turn this clip upside down and that should fix your handle.
