I reakon one thing that would look good is an emblem or something on the bonnet, done out of EL wire.

A glowing blue FORD logo on the bonnet would really make the car stand out... or you could really piss people off by putting the Holden Lion on your bonnet... if you're really sadistic.

ive just hooked up footwell neons (my car never came with footwell lighting) so instead of just getting standard globes, i went that extra step, so now when i open a door, the front footwells will light up with slowly changing colours (red, blue + green) and then a mixture of all...

it gives the car a more unique look.. but each to their own

u can do that with tri colour leds, use a pic micro and u can create any colour under the sun, brilliant things they are, just needs a bit more then backyard tools and knowledge to do. But for around $15, they are something no one else has, micro controlled interior lights :D *gets ideas* hmm ill get back to you on that one :D

got it from a local automotive shop called Image Autoparts, but im sure they're available at the likes of Autobarn etc... they come with one control, and two LED rods, then just run your positive and negative and you're set...
all i did was create a switch which can break and connect a permanent ground, while i have a second ground going permanently to the door switch, so i can choose to have them on while driving, but they will always turn on when a door is opened, which was the reason in installing them in the first place :p
