hi there people, i was thinking of putting a switch on my car so no thiefs would be able to start it, besides me or them flicking that switch.

Now at home we have an ef falcon with an ef manual/gregorys, now i just realised the ef ecu has about 100 pins/places on the ecu and the el has only about 60. I was just gonna find a suitable wire and run a switch to it, but as i said the ef and el ecus are different.
Can anyone help me out in any way? or what do you think?
thanks.

Simplest way would be to put a switch on the smartlock wire at the ECU - so that if the switch is off, the smartlock wont be able to mobilese the ECU.

Cant tell you what pin your looking at, but thats the simplest way.

Second is to put a switch on the Fuel Pump Relay - so its not so obvious.

Third - well you could cut power to the Ignition Module on the EF, and the TFI on the EL...

So many ways, so little time (!).

i know fuel pump relay, that is exactly what i was going to do.
The thing is i know where that wire is on the ef ecu, but i want to do this switch on an el. So can anyone help me with an el gregorys manual.

In a lot of cases the fuel fump method will allow the car to almost start, and silly people then decide to keep trying!.

i reckon those are brilliant ideas. its a shame you gotta go to such lengths to keep the bastards from pinching your car. car thieves are the lowest form of life. as Travolta says in Pulp Fiction "what kinda s**t piece of s**t f**k with another man's automobile?"

i've got a killswitch in my EF.

but as easy as it is to connect one up.
it's even easier to disconnect.

if someone wanted to take the car.
they'd take it either way.
