how do i go about trying to wind the odomator back in an ef el

plzzz help!!!

its very illegal to do so.

iirc only ford will do it, and it will cost about $70 or sumthing

are you putting this cluster into another car and winding back the klms to match the original, or are you going to just wind back the klms to make it look like the car has done less kays?

oh, i started a thread about this a while ago, it was locked real quick lol

its pretty easy to 'swap' odo readings if your capable with a soldering iron

I've done Many, even chipped a corner of the IC and it still works.
I've found the best method is to cut a stanley knife blade (shaped to fit under the ic) and then heat all four legs on one side at once while lifing.

Solder suckers and wick are useless as these are very fine amounts of solder.

or

Pay to wind it back via a reputable speedo service engineer.
