Ok guys. There are heaps and heaps of posts about the LED conversion. I read the doco and it says that i can not use the holders for the ash tray and all that.
Now setting. I was pulling apart my dash and when i did i found my ash tray lamp to be blown BOM BOM BOOOOOM!!! So what i did was soldered the LED to the Resistor and covered that in heat shrink. Then i got the lamp holder and cut as much as i could from the inside then used a soldering iron to make it bigger. Then i placed the LED and glued it abit to make it stay. Put on wires and connected it to the wires in the dash and now i have a green ash tray light. Also around the cig lighter its a nic lit up green.

yeah this is very similar to what i did. you can also do this to the lights behind the instrument cluster, climate controls and demister light.

Whoa, break through!
Next thing you'll be telling us you've come up with a new way to make sandwiches by getting 2 pieces of bread and putting filling in the middle!

hey guess what. I found if you get a bread roll and cut it in half. YES HALF. you can put things in the middle and you have a sandwich.

Find that hard to believe if you are using windows. LOL. Had to add it.

THE REAL reason this thread was started was because the doco said that you can not used the original holder. And seeing as there are many people there that dont know as much about one thing compared to another doesn't mean you have to go and make comments involving bread and sandwiches. I my self know a bit about electronics that some here may not know. But people here know a lot about Forced Induction and really i know f**k all about it. GODDAMN IT!!!
