hey all

this specifically has been posted for twason, but i guess is relevant to a few others who may be interested...

just a few pics showing the instal of a set of LWB (in this case LTD) seats into a SWB (i.e. futura) sedan... here goes!

Image

^ showing the bolts & redrilled framing

Image

^ another angle of bolts

^ close up

Image

^ bolster

Image

^ bolster from the inside

Image

^ the aim - to have no gap between the seats & parcel shelf!

in the above seats, 6 extra holes have been drilled - 3 in the black framing of the seats to allow the top bolts to be screwed further down, and 3 in the car, to move the bottom screws/bolts up...

it makes more sense when you get stuck into it, but just to give you an idea thats all.

as for the bolsters, its just the stock SWB ones with the LWB fabric stretched over - pulled tight enough, you'l never even know :P

Thanks Heaps,
Picked up the Concorde Fairlane Grey leather today, they seem to almost line up as is but now I know what to look for I can do the mods easily enough for the perfect install. I retained my old leather bolsters and the color matches OK so no problem there either.
Very happy chappy at the moment except for the wheel bearing that carked it on the way to Sydney.
Cheers
TW.

Back seats are in :D , 1 new hole in each of the bracket and a large washer to hold the bottom bolt to the bracket. The alignment needs a tweek but that can wait till I get the fronts in.
Cheers TW.
