Nice look Davo, did you jsut swap all existing bulbs with blue leds? i have attempted this with blue rubebr covers, but it doesn't have the same effect, but i think if i were to make the cluster pannel lighter, then the blue might come through a bit more, or i could stop being a tigh A**E and just buy the blue leds.
Well done

ha ha you will all be amazed that i did that whole dash with white LED's i bought from Motoquipe and they came in their own holders, i have been through a few led's as i got a couple of bad batches.
But so far after 10 months only one has gone.

My trip computer was done the same and has 3 white LED's in it so i can see it during the day.

No i went to K-Mart and bought some blue and red folders that had the plasitic clear inserts inside, then pulled apart the dash and cut out the filters by hand and also included a red bit for the tacho redline.

then i put them all back together and changed all the globes to LED's, i do want brighter LED's now so the needles show up more.

If anyone has some red needles i could have it would be appreciated.

I like the EF Cluster more than the EL one, and that blue backlighting really does sexify it.

Once again, top work. :p

That looks great.

Where'd you get the LEDs from? I'm looking to do something similar in the ED but i'm not sure if the How To will work on the ED, does anyone know if it's the same deal with wiring the resistors and LEDs into an ED cluster?

Also what do you guys recommend, blue LEDs or that folder trick (with white LEDs), i've heard mentioned several times elsewhere.

Just go to any of those little gadget car shops that sell all that cheap crap you can put in your car light missile switchs for ur cigarette lighter.

in those shops they sell packets of LED's already in holders for the dash, any colour and everything.
Just rememeber if you use a coloured LED it will colour your needles that colour aswell, thats why i used white LED's with a blue filter.
Next time i rip out my dash i'll take some pics of the filters.

Aren't the premade ones relatively weak compared to getting high brightness LEDs and then installing them?
