Is that a EL GLi with wood grain? I thinki this because you dont have climate control, there are 4 guages/tacho's not 6, you dont appear to have the power antenna height switch and you have maunal windows not power.
How easy was it to put the good grain on the doors? As easy as the fabric trims?

Yeah, XPFalcon170's looks like a GLi (not 100% sure)
Mine is only a futura, with EL Ghia seats, and a chaser cluster. I bought a set of door trims off a NL Ghia, removed the woodgrain from them, and attached the strips to my futura doors using sicaflex

yeh, its a el gli with ef ghia seats. Fairmont climate controler and 6 gauge cluster are on the list of mods to come.

I also just stuck the woodgrain onto the gli trims. Bought so ef ghia trims on ebay and painted the gli trims, then stuck the woodgrain spears on, also with sikaflex.

the paint was the vht colour dye in satin black.

Tell us how you go with climate control. I looked into it and it was going to cost $500+ so i thought it wasnt worth it.

But im keen to do the mod. Im also thinking of having my GLi as a mock up of something. I just want to have as many features as possible. So far i have LCD, CB, Sub, trip computer.

Within the next couple of weeks i get cruise control and power windows. I also want a fairmont cluster or just a 6 guage, Mid/high series BEM with light dimming, dome lamp and variant wiper control.

It may also become a manual these holidays.

How do you change the colour of velour seats? I have leather atm and they r in very average condition, dunno weather togo velour and change the colour or AU leather seats. Only prob is my driver seat is electrical and I really like that, but the seats do not hold you very well wen cornering sharp.

What you see in the pictures is what i have painted.

I used 1 can to do the dash and sll the way down to the shifter surround.

I then used the last little bit on the door trim but didnt completely finish that.

I got a 2nd can and i have painted the airbag and various parts under the bonnet.
