Yeah, I would have painted the steering column cover ...but I couldn't get the f**k steering wheel off to get at it!

Took the airbag off, undid the torx bolt ...but would the f**k wheel budge? ...HELL NO! :(

Practically bust my forearms wrenching it around, but it didn't even budge ...turned the inside of the car into a sauna with the sweat pissing outta me!

K leave the nut on n bang the wheel on either side with your fist a few times trust me it will come off...... Dont try to pull it off straight work it left n right. If you want to see what the covers look like do a search for 4dzilr's car hes got em in it. And paint the rest of the dash black would look nice i rekon.

I have changed three steering wheels over and they are all the same. Just tap it off gently, working around the rim of the wheel, it should come off.

Basically just pulling off all the dash fascia & shifter surround parts, taking out the switches to leave an empty shell, cleaning the surfaces with Metho ...and then spraying 3-4 coats of VHT Colour Penetrating Dye in SP-942 Satin Black, ...NO other prep required.

I also pulled the guts out of the Trip Computer to spray the face Black to match.

Also bought a Black EL GT shift boot and a Black leather AU2 shift knob.

Not too much hassle, for a pretty good result!
