Mate didn't have a choice really - was running out of light and needed to get it done... And he's usually pretty good with stuff like that cause he's done his EF... But he'll be forkin out for the panel anyway so alls good.

well i've decided on mine...
Midnight Blue with Silver Pearl... and then putting on 3 coats of Clear Coat... all up aout 300-400 bucks with paint and clear coat... so not too bad... the effect should be sweet... i'll make up a doco on it if anyone is keen? |

$300-$400!!?? Oh you're getting someone to do it - duh, especially with pearl paints... Don't think they do pearl paints in the spray cans, do they??
Probably only set me back $100 at the most in paints... But should look sweet as!! I was actually gonna do a techo doc up for here, but I'd have to pull everything apart again... damn I'm lazy!!

no no.. that is 300-400 bucks with a mate helping me out...
We are making up some engine bay covers as well... and also doing the door spears... 1L of Pearl is about 100 bucks made up... and then clear coat... 2 Pac paint baby! |

I've put a thread up in the chit chat one trying to see how many guys on here are from CQ to organise a bit of a cruise, but no-one has responded.... Surely there must be a few on here somewhere?? Is there many up in cairns??

there is only a handfull... but if your heading up cairns way give us a yell and we'll catch up for a photo sesh!
Went to niccos last night... The token white guy had a good idea (his only one) to put a light blue pearl instead of gold or silver... so that it doesn't stand out... but when light hit's it is schimmers... i thought that might be sweet? Ideas? |

That'd be a damn good idea!! I wouldn't mind having a nice blue glow through the car, and not just off interior neons either... Makes it different for sure!!
