Hey guys i am just doing a digital dash conversion in the document it says to run a wire from the ignition coil to runn the taco could someone telll me how to do this without stuffing something electrical ?

and also where is the igniton coil located in the engine bay

Without knowing what sort of a car and is it a 6 or an 8 or a 4 cylinder then the coil is usually under the bonnet!Seriously find your distributor most of the leads go to your sparkplugs and the one that goes to somewhere else is your coil,you will need the negative side of your coil to run a tacho.Disconnect it turn on your ignition and positive will read on your testlight or multimeter it's the other wire you need.I would suggest you do some research first so you know how things work.Google is your friend.Let us know how you get on.Kevman :)

yer mate i didn't need some one to state the obvious lol

what i ment in my post was which wire to tap into off the coil
so i dont stuff my ed's computer

its a 6 cylinder ed falcon

but thanx for the help thanx for taking the time to reply

OK... to answer your earlier question, the coil is on the side of the engine under the intake manifold near the head.

What document are you looking at regarding the conversion?

the document i am using is one of the technical documents
in the ford mods tehnical document section the name of the document is
"changing instrament clusters"

Looks fairly straight forward...

I will make use of that myself when I try to figure out how to graft the digital part of the guage into the cluster of a fairlaine....
