Hey does anyone know how to fit neons in the footwells of a el falcon so they can come on with the interior light of the car? Our have any other ways in which they have done it.

Cheers

Do you have a light there already? Cause what i did to a mates car is jus spliced the wire and added the neon on.

I dont know if Futura's have footwell lights from factory like Fairmont, Ghia etc do but if so just splice into the wiring and run the neons from there. If not you might have to splice into the wires where the courtesy lamp is in the rear seat footwell behind the centre glovebox box compartment and run wiring from there

A futura will have no wiring for the three footwell lamps.

The courtesy lights run on a switched ground system.

The easiest place to tap in is the centre console wiring connector, which sits around the cig lighter behind the radio surround. At the bottom of this doco documents.php?d=24 it lists the wire colours you want to use. Use this and the neons will come on with the roof light.

I thought only GHIA's had the 3 footwell lights. I would go with everyone else here splice into it. I didnt do that way but what i did was i bought blue led lights and plugged dem in and presto.
