finally got around to putting the next mod in the car. i think its pritty slick actually. the nominal blue has a few shorts in it that is making the fuel and temp not light up quite right but a job for another day.

http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n239/fiftyoneracing/?action=view¤t=MOV00002.flv (the sound doesn't sync right???)

There is a switch to keep as red normal or blue normal, a switch for shift points and unless the headlights are on, and the cig lighter is in (not 12v main) the system will be what ever colour i choose nominal.

a big thank you to the guys at Jaycar for helping me through this one. there are 12 or so wires that had to be put in and they gave me pleantly of guidence through the project.

everyones more than welcome to give it a shot but dont unless your a electronics brain cause you'll end up in more trouble than the early settlers.

Cheers

eyes are a little put off by it but its all good.

i used a 1500mcd blue and 4000mcd red at 20mA. superglued together. no holders. (a very barn door job actually) i'll take a pick of the back when i fix it, i forgot. i could of used a 4 prong blue\green\red but they were a little more expencive and needed the same amount of wiring.

these pics are pritty big so i'll leave as is for now. (modem speeds and that)

in a perfect world, i'd have it super bright so you could use it in the day, and make it progressive, so its not on and off. more of a fade

you mean whens it swap? ive set it to 1900rpm but ive got a switch in there to boost it to 4700.

i just found that 19 is best for fuel economy and hey, when do i really push it that hard?

Good job...

But that’s very wanky IMO, who wants changing dash lights when you give it to her? It would a bit of a distraction for me
