Today I was bored so I painted the backing on my cluster, I love white, its the go, all of the clear plastic on the front is dirty, I tried cleaning it but it wont come off, anyone got any idears how to clean it up I tried everything, I think its prob sun damage.

its filthy!

unfortunatly its more 'eatin the perspex.

You could try to buff it out.

I've found windex and other cleaning products stain the plastic if left for too long.
Also Coke being opened with an explosion doesn't help!

Most do it urself wreckers will charge you $10 for a cover and others wont separate.

but if ur gonna spend money... buy a mid series cluster!
i mean... its not like ur broke................look at how much fuel u have! =P

Yeah ive tried my local wreckers and they dont seperate :( when it was black you couldnt see it, but no its white it brings the plastic right out.

iv e found mothers plastic polish works well, maby see if that can be used on clear plastic

can use toothpaste on a fine cloth,gets scratches out of cds too.

This is the gear man! I had these clouds on my EB dash and they come out with minimal effort using this stuff.

BTW this gear is also good for cleaning up yellowed lights on the later e series. 8-)

The paint is glossy so it looks good but the flash from the camera makes it look s**t.
