His motor has had work done to it, it can rev to 6500, his stock tacho goes to 6. Sure the shiftlight is useless, but the tacho isn't - eg if your doing a burnout in an auto in first/second you'd like to keep an eye on the intruments/tacho. I'm not a fan of the massive tacho, I prefer a smaller tacho, but f**k, he invited you to comment on his dash inserts, not bag the f**k out of his car

not bagging his car, im bagging his crappy go-lo interior, even doin burnouts, if you cant tell the limits of your engine, your a noob. also that doesnt explain all of the extra instraments, and spending 1000 bucks to monitor an axtra 500 RPM is just stupid and not needed.

From a chicks point of view.. Id change the colour of the crushed velvet to a darker colour to try match the rest of the interior.. I like the blue it looks hot.. But I wouldnt have the steering wheel the same colour! Anyways good job on it otherwise! Looks mad :)

mmm... the interior seems abit too loud for my tastes and i probably would have mounted the gauges lower so they don't block my view.

iirc your not supposed to mount gauges above steering wheel height i think it has been discussed before on the forums.

but good job anyway.

Agreed - Mate 10 points for effort, I think you've got some good ideas happening but colour choice may need some more thought process... Blue looks schmick as!! Great job on painting!! BUT - I think some others have said it, pick a theme - sports or luxury. I think you're looking for a sports theme by the looks of what you're trying to do with the guages and colour of paint, but then I think you've gone a little off with the crushed velvet!! In my opinion, lose the velvet and keep a black and blue theme - would look alot better IMO, but if you're a fan of it being carpeted - then black sub box carpet would look good - cheap too @ $15 per metere from Auto Barn (and no I ain't pluggin auto barn) and it keeps with a theme too... I do have to say nice painting job though - impressive for a home job I reckon!!

I think the blue looks good, but I don't think if fits in with the rest of the interior, kinda cheapens the luxo look...

Not bad man, but i wouldn't say great either. Still needs a little work, but good on you for doing it!

I reckon the blue around the cluster is cool, need to extend it over the trip comp & vents, leave the vents black, make the main part of that section blue, buttons std.

Your console is a bit of a clash, the blue looks good, but you need to finish it off, the glasses / phone pocket needs to be blue as well. BUT the blue doesn't go with the velvet.

I must admit, after viewing your interia mods, i have been contemplating painting some of my dash & console the same color as my car, but being a ghia interia, i'm not sure it would look that great. I might photoshop it to see how it will turn out. :D

At the end of all that, ONLY YOU have to like it! You gotta drive it after all. :D

Cheers

ToranaGuy
