G'day again.

My Falcon AU 2000 Series II has another slight problem.

I have had this car for about 2 months , purchased from a private seller in as is condition. I was told about a few problems before hand,,,most of them have been fixed.

My headlight problem is this....

My headlights will both come on but when going over a bump or no bump sometimes, the passenger side lowbeam headlight goes out but high beam will work. The lowbeam will come back on after a period ot time when driving then will go off again.

At other times I had to open the bonnet and wriggle the wiring harness and the lowbeam light will come on again.

Could someone give me some idea as to what the problem could be and where to start looking for the cause so I can fix it?

Any help on this will be appreciated.

Cheers

oK CHECK YOUR HEADLIGHT BULB FILAMENT IT may be vibrating loose or the connection at the back of the headlight may be going open circuit ie melting.Or a broken wire etc etc kevman.

I placed a new bulb and everthing seems ok , could not see anything melting. Broken or loose wire somewhere in the loom...multimeter job I think

the earth. if i remember correctly the bulb earths to the metal in the headlight and then a wire comes off that and earths it to the body through the headlight loom. check the globe to headlight mating surface for no corrosion etc and check the earth wire. they burn out sometimes

Thanks, I'll check that on the weekend when I have more time.
