Alright...
Who's done it? Where's the thread links? What parts did you use? Show us some pics? How much did you spend? Etc. etc...

So here's what I'm thinking...
My plan is to stick a laptop either under the passenger seat or in the boot, and have it hooked up to an LCD touch screen so I can use as a car PC. I've got a head unit at the moment that plays DVDs so I'll hook that up to the LCD screen as well. I'll just have to switch between the inputs on the screen.
I'm thinking of getting something like this for the screen. This has 3 video inputs, one VGA for the laptop, and two yellow video plugs. One I'll plug into my head unit, and the other one I was thinking of hooking up with a reverse cam maybe?
I'm going to wire the power button of the laptop to a small switch which I'll probably place somewhere on the dash or in the console. This way when I get in the car, I just press the button to switch it on. I'm also gonna get a USB GPS antenna to use with some GPS apps that I downlo... err.. purchased.
If I need a keyboard (which I don't think I will since I'll have a touch screen) I'll get one of those roll up rubber keyboards and keep it in my console.

What do you think?
Anyone else done something like this with an EF/EL? Any tips or advice?
I'll post updates as I start doing this if anyone's interested.

the rool up keyboards are a waste of time in a car, Logitech make a little wireless keyboard that lots of car PC'errrrs use or you could get a little USB QUWERY keyboard :)
