my drivers window on my EF mont has crapped itself, goes down but wont go up... ive replaced the motor and regulator but problem still persists,switches seem to be ok anyone got ideas and stumped...

If you have replaced the motor/reg assembly then it has to be an electrical problem. Use a multimeter or test light to make sure it has power on the down and up strokes at the reg plug.

yeah figured that, was just hoping this was a common cause, so i could get a common solution lol

Have you checked the rubber strips that guide the glass up, mine were rusted towards the bottom and jammed the window down each time.
Did you take out the window mech and test it without the window or anything on it? i managed to repair 2 electric ones using the wiring from the manual ones i took out. Check my for sale thread new suff aded today, Regards, Michael

yeah first figured it was the regulator so got a reg and motor, when i ripped the old one out i plugged (before i installed) the new one in to see if it worked and same thing happened no upward only down

could also be bad contacts in the switch. they are easy to clean up

Yeh thats what happened in my dads AU futura, the contacts on the switches were dirty, went down not up, somtimes didnt work at all. Try giving them a clean then see what heppens.

the switches are in pretty bad nick anyway so am just gonna replace them, hopefully i get the ones of evilbay i want
