i have found a pioneer sub that will fit the box and needs about the same amount of space as i have got in my box, but it is over $200. the sub i am thinking of using is only $40 and with all the other stuff needed it would cost $418 for the pioneer sub and amp to run it and only $200 for the other setup. which do u think would be the best opion for the price

looks great there. Probably a first for this site. Maybe some other people will take this as a base and work on it . I love it.

But needs some carpet on it :)

trying to make it look like it belongs. if i carpet it i would have to carpet the front console and the would look like crap. Also i have said if anyone else wants on i can make cardboard templates or if you are willing to pay for materials, labour and freight i am able to make it. it could be made to fit a larger sub but the volume of the box would not be enough as i am struggling to find 8" subs that will work in such a small box

Are you going to use some putty or fibre glass to smooth it all then, that way it will really look like its supposed to be there. just to smooth out all the lines and even it out.

trimed and painted just need to install a sub and enlarge the cup holders.
the cost for the console was about $120 for material and loads of time working out the shape

I did see this on another site and replied to it. I used to do stuff to large boats and suggested he use 4ml MDF which is cheap as hell from www.nover.com.au, then fibreglass it. Also as an after thought, if you get some flexi pipe and run it from the aircon to the cup holders and put some small hols in the box you could have auto cooling or heating from the aircon/heating vent for drinks and hands.

With the tubing you could add on some 80mm pc case fans to strengthen the flow :D

Good work
