You know on teh dash on teh passenger side, there's that strip above the glovebox, it has a logo on it - in my case a GLi, well how do I remove it? I want to paint it black or just the logo black, get rid of all evidence off GLi!

you cant remove it as such - you need to paint over it or whatever - i've got one here which has been done silver - looks a s**t load better than the Gli one. i've also got a futura one, and a fairmont one - the fairmont one is in the car and looks really good - just the 'F' badge in the middle. best bet would be to get a spare one, and put several coats of paint - you really need to layer it up to cover the Gli outline.

Your PAB would be an expensive route tho - altho it looks 100x better than that silly looking strip in the dash!?

PAB?

So there's no way to remove the thing from the dash? I don't need to remove the badge from the plastic strip, just the whole lot off the dash...?

So any idea how I remove it? Just lever it off with a flathead screwdriver or something?

Yer, guess so..?
Maybe try n heat it up a lil before hand if your worried about it snapping; otheriwse id just pry it out with a flathead, who cares if it breaks, its ugly anyhow! :D
Also s/h ones are CHEAP!

I agree with steve, your envious - the airbad "balances" the dash out, with that lil faggy strip it looks like eveything is to the right of the dash, very un-even!
Get a PAB, for the right price ofcourse :P

twrc7x - yep a flat-head screwdriver will be perfect. will take all of 5 seconds - just be careful not to scrape the dash at all.

The PAB is to prominent, looks worse than the strip.
The ones on the AU ghia (only seen the fairlane) are good because they look almost like part of the glove box, EF and EL ones look a bit out of place.
