I haven't looked into this at all but is it possible to fit an ed/f dash straight into my xh? Is all the wiring there or do I need the s-Pak loom too? Obviously I am gunna have to change the senders but will it fit? :?

Ed wont fit as its a differentunit all together... EF/L is ur best bet, i think it should just plug n play, if im right the sports clusters have the Oil pressure gauge on them, so u will need to change ur oil pressure sender unit to one that will work with the dash.

I dont think the ef/el is going to bolt in. Ive been told that xh dash will fit all the x-series with wiring mods only, and I know an EF/EL dash wont go into these cars without making some custom brakets and chopping a fair bit of plastic.

so if xh goes into xf but ef/el doesnt i assume ef/el wont go into xh either.

XG utes got the EBII/ED cluster. All XG's are smartlock fitted.
All XH's run an EF/EL cluster - series I: EF, series II: EL.
'S' and XR models run a mid series cluster.

All you need to do is replace the oil pressure switch with the sender and install your mid series(EF or EL) cluster.

are you sure about that ?
i know thats how they look, but the physical dimensions etc are different, due to the x series dash thats in the car.

ford utes are such bitzas, its a shame really.

they are the same cluster. there is a couple of different ones, but i would assume that would be cosmetic not physical.

Yep, absolutely.
Not saying I'm an expert, but I do try and present facts rather than heresay.

They are bitsa's, but the XG is very similar to the EBII/ED mechanically and electrically, only bits to go against this are the carry over XF steering and front suspension.
XH's on the other hand are very similar to EL's, just disregard the body shapes and the legacy X series heritage.

no ef/el/ea/ed dash will fit in XH's without major mods. Learnt the hard way.

Throw in a mid series EL cluster then youll have your oil pressure and volts. Then you can look down the lines of what snap has done to his ute with climate control and trip computer

Yeah, certainly agree with Dyvan. The XH is around 99% EL wiring with an EF BEM - unfortunately, due the the X series firewall and windscreen shape, an E series dash is not plug & play.

Doesn't matter EF or EL mid series.
The low coolant light will happily blink at you, so you can remove the globe, or fit the engine bay wire along with the coolant overflow sensor.
BTW - I've assumed all through my posts you've meant instrument cluster as dash.

Yeah relized afterwards that I wasn't completely clear. Meant just the gauges themselves. Like I said I am extremely lazy so everything else is too difficult

Ok sorry!
I did think you were talking about clusters.
