Hi all,

I know its around somewhere as I did this to my old XT and now want to remove the annoying chime on my XR6T..

Any help???

3/Ignition in "OFF" position.
4/All doors closed.
5/Buckle Drivers seat belt.
6/Turn ignition to the "ON" position(Do not start the engine).
7/Wait until the seat belt warning light turns off.
8/Press and "HOLD" Hazard button until step 11
9/Unbuckle drivers seat belt.
10/Buckle drivers seat belt.

Thanks 66 coupe, if I owned a BA this would be the first thing I'd be doing.. My parents have a really long driveway (500 metres) & this annoys the hell outta me when I drive there car down it..

the owners manual refers you to a ford service dept.

I just put the key in the ignition.
put seatbelt on
held down the hazard buton
un-did and re-did the seatbelt 5 times
released the hazard button

this worked for me!

Why not just put your seatbelt on?

When your a sales rep like adz and my self you are in the car alot sometimes with it on while you jot down queries from customer or reaching round the car for your notepad or pen!

Try that excuse on the cop that pulls you over for it.

I agree with fnp and noisy, shut the chime up by buckling up.

But this is when they are not driving...they may have just started the car and have air-con running just outside their client's office or in a car park. while the engine is running, air con going they would have to reach over to the rear seat to get, maybe, a pen or pad or what not and jot down information they just obtained...while all that is occuring you have a DING DING DING (i assume it's something like that?) in the background...

I'm sure most of us put our seat belts on while we are DRIVING but when we are stationary waiting to pick someone up or doing some final things before you drive, you have your seat belt off.

phong =P~

I ALWAYS buckle up.

you wont find me driving around without my belt on.

let me paint you a picture of why it annoys me;
Im late for a meeting... Jump in the car and and start to drive out of the carpark in my work building / or my street at home. I have EVERY intention of putting my belt on as soon as i can but the little f**k starts beeping at me before I have a chance.... VERY FRUSTRATING!

I can understand you thinking... why doesnt he just put the belt on before he starts the car? But all you drivers who DONT have a BA with this annoying chime - wouldnt know where im coming from with this.

Nicko - you know what im talking about hey brother :wink:
