I bought a short shift base and handle for my XH off this forum. Now that I have them fitted I have a new problem. The old shift boot does not fit any more. So I bought a SAAS leather boot cut the top off my boot only left the bottom of it in place to slip the new leather boot over to grip on.(has an elastic bottom ring on boot). Now have it back on car but it hits on lever still. Wont stay in 2 4 or R gears. So have to have a bottom plate made custom or something. Wondering has any one done this before or got any good ideas?
Cheers Cam.

Have look at this. Didn't take a real long time to do either.
