Changed the BEM in my EF to attept to fix the starting problem, and the Smartlock light is still not flashing. It's only been 5 minutes, but apparently it's ment to be flashing the immobolised code. Any ideas?

found the answer here:
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... t=changing bem
good old xpression.

And found the tech doc - http://www.fordmods.com/forums/Upgradin ... k-d47.html.

According to both the Smartlock light should flash - so what if it isn't flashing?

I did the same but i went from low to high series green BEM and also Change your Dash loom it helps a great deal. You wont have to solder or mess around with wires and saves a lot of headaches.

Going from low to mid, not low to high. They have the exact same amount of pins.
