Ah ok.
Is Smartlock the same thing as the keyless entry FOB or are they seperate? A friend has an EB falcon Series I and he has the FOB and Smartlock(I think). Just curious if EB fairmont's Series I came with remote keyless?

remote entry and smartlock immobilisation is the same thing. Your mate has had his fitted aftermarket or is not smartlock but an aftermarket remote entry

Yep, the EBII was the first to have the smartlock/keyless entry. However the 'tibbe' locks came out in the EAII, and have been used ever since. The early EA had keys and locks the same as the XF. They also had rectangular door lock knobs rather than the square type that sit flush with the door trim when locked.
