Hey I did a quick search but I came up empty. Is an xh steering wheel the same as x series or ef-au? I'm just wanting to put a nicer leather one on.

Thanks guys,
Cj

Xh early model steering wheels are the same as EB-ED and can also be fitted on XF, with a little mucking around. As long as you haven't got an Air Bag you are good as gold. :)

Oh sorry I realise I wrote that strangely, I have an Xh and want to put a later model steering wheel on it, like an au leather one. Will that work or do I need to get an eb-ed one?

Thanks for the reply

OK XH afaik had two wheels in the early models they had the EA to ED / XG wheel, the later models (or mainly the upsec versions had a wheel like the EF to AU.

Some one will prolly correct me but I am 99% that is how it went.

You are right Froudey, the later XH/EF had an Air bag type.

yes you can put an au leather wheel on, although you'd have to to resetup your horn, and you wont be able to connect up your airbag, if you use the au airbag, or you coul use your hornpad in the au wheel, possibility paint it to match if it doesn't match, say it's a black leather wheel..

Any of the EF/EL and AU equivalent leather wheels will fit. Use the existing electrics, your airbag shell (which won't have an airbag in it)will fit.
