Hey guys,
my rear vision mirror decided to fall of the windshield today, just wondering what sort of glue should i use? this might sound stupid but i wasnt sure if super glue is what people generally use for this,
cheers

there is a specific glue to do the job.. forget the name, but if you head to repco or similar they will stock it.. just explain what you need it for.

last time i used the red silicone that is ment for heigh temp areas on or around the motor as i thought that the glass gets hot when in the sun and the silicone was ment for heigh temp things so i used it and it hasent fallen off yet.

I`ll rephrase the last statement. Araldite is not really suitable as it will dry out over time. Believe me if FoMoCo could use it they would.
You`ll be driving down Dandenong Rd. and hit a bloody great bump & sure as s**t you`ll end up wearing the bloody mirror. That is if you were lucky enough not to break it on the T Bar.

i glued on a friends mirror that came off, used some specialised clear rear view mirror adhesive from supercheap. it was a 2 part mix where you break the glass inside a plastic tube to mix A+B and has enough for one repair. that was about 2 years ago, its still there 8-)

When mine fell off I went to Windscreen O'Briens to ask and they glued it back on for free.
